Visualizing Housing Types in the Region
Overview
The Capitol Region features a rich mix of communities and housing options. While single-family homes remain the most common, our neighborhoods also provide homes in duplexes, triplexes, and larger multi-family buildings which add much-needed variety and choice. Conversations about multi-family housing often raise the question: What could this actually look like in my town?
This website is intended to help answer that question. Here, you’ll discover a curated collection of multi-family housing styles—primarily drawn from examples in our region, with a few from around Connecticut—to help everyone better imagine how these homes can blend into local neighborhoods. This is a work in progress, so check back as we add more examples.
Take a look around, get inspired, and see how multi-family housing can become part of the places we call home!
